The increased use of technology can be of great benefit to your child, but it is important to be aware of the dangers on the internet and know how to protect your child from inappropriate content.

When your child is using the internet, ensure they are closely supervised when watching content on YouTube or searching the internet using a search engine as inappropriate content can appear with the most innocent of searches.

Installing parental controls on devices at home is important to prevent your child from accessing inappropriate content. Parental controls are activated differently on different devices. YouTubeKids is a fantastic app that restricts the content that can be searched and accessed to appropriate content for children. It also has some great links to activities to support learning. It can be downloaded through the app store that your device uses.
